The drive from Belize City to Placencia takes approximately 2.5 hours via the Western and Coastal Plain Highways, offering a scenic journey to our location.

To vacation in Belize, you'll need a valid passport. Here are the key requirements:
Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least 30 days after your arrival.
Visa Requirements: Most tourists, including those from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and many other countries, do not need a visa for stays up to 30 days. However, if you plan to stay longer, you'll need to apply for a Visitor's Permit Extension1.
Proof of Departure: You must have a return ticket or proof of onward travel.
Sufficient Funds: You'll need to show that you have enough funds to cover your stay.
Exit Fee: There is a departure fee of approximately US$40, which may be included in your airline ticket.
For the most accurate and up-to-date information, it's always a good idea to check with the nearest Belizean consulate or embassy.
Are you planning a trip to Belize soon?
Visitors are welcome to stay in Belize for 30 days with the visitor’s permit provided upon arrival. If you find yourself falling in love with Belize and wish to extend your stay, you can request a one-month extension from the Immigration and Nationality Department. Prospective immigrants have the option to renew their permits monthly or eventually apply for Belize Permanent Residency.
Many airlines fly to Belize, with most flights landing at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. From the US, you can fly with American Airlines, Delta, United, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines. From Canada, Air Canada and WestJet offer seasonal flights. Tropic Air and COPA Airlines serve routes from Central America. While there are no direct flights from Europe, you can connect through major hubs like London Heathrow. We make getting here easy!
