First, participants will get a chance to visit the enormous ancient Maya city of Xunantunich. The Maya name of the city means “Maiden of the Rock” because a ghostly female figure has been seen haunting the ruins for more than a century.

SNORKELING / DIVING
Snorkeling in Placencia will take you to gems such as the Silk Caye. It offers some of the best snorkeling in Belize from shore. Our Belize snorkeling excursions will take you to an underwater world where life explodes in every color imaginable. Your tour guide will take the snorkelers to explore one side of the island beaches while the divers embark on the first of their two dives.

The flats of southern Belize make for some of the best fly fishing in the world. Hop on the Light Tackle or Fish Frenzy and deftly drift across the planes.. Our Captains having been hitting the “Grand Slam” (a Bonefish, Tarpon, Permit, and Snook all in one day) since they were in little league, but now it’s your turn at the plate!
Just off the coast of Placencia offers some of the best places to Scuba dive in Belize. The magnificent Barrier Reef, the second largest in the world, is awe inspiring. TIKAL MAYA RUINS
It’s easy to visit Tikal, one of the most amazing historical sites on the planet. Now a UNESCO World Heritage site, Tikal is located just a few miles across Belize’s western border with Guatemala. Tikal and its towering temples have been featured in many popular movies. This tour allows visitors to explore one of the most impressive Maya sites ever built. Now surrounded by a vast national park, the grounds of Tikal measure more than 23 square miles (60 square kilometers) in size and include more than 3,000 buildings.
SNORKELING AND SAIL
We sail five to six miles out to the Lark Caye Range where we anchor in a spot protected from wind and waves. You can swim, snorkel, or just hang out on the boat. We'll eat lunch aboard, and rum drinks are available for those that want them. Around 2:00, we raise the main, unfurl the jib, and have a relaxing sail home. We'll be snorkeling off the boat usually in water around six feet deep. Snorkeling gear can be rented from Buba Wuba’s prior to departure at $10USD per set.

ZIPLINE AND TUBING

INNER REEF FISHING
Spin and troll through the mazes of the “Inner Reef”; a system of undersea valleys where Mackerel, Barracuda, Snapper, and Jack reign supreme. Will you have the skills to lure them from their coral kingdoms? With a little luck and an HFC Captain, you’ll be angling for the throne.
OUTER REEF / DEEP SEA FISHING
The Belize Barrier Reef is the second largest in the world but the fishing is second to none. Break in the outriggers and troll for Sailfish, Wahoo, Dorado, and the almighty Marlin. Don’t forget your gloves – these bad boys can put up a fight!
Enjoy a nice sunset sail in comfort and style. Sip on a glass of wine and enjoy snacks while the sun sets. Departure time is 4:00 and we return to the dock after sunset. A true romantic evening while you take in the sights from the sea.

SWIM WITH WHALE SHARKS
Even though whale sharks are considered one of the largest fish found in the Caribbean Sea, some growing as large as 40ft long and 4ft wide (bigger than a school bus), they are as gentle as a baby.... making it easy for you to swim right up to them and alongside them.
These gentle giants migrate to the Gladden Spit Silk Cayes Marine Reserve to mate and feed on the spawn of Mutton and Cuberra snapper. The best time to see these creatures are 4-5 days after the full moon. Seriously, swimming with whale sharks is cool!
Cruise out to the picture-perfect 2-acre private island called Ranguana caye right from Placencia, Belize and spend your day in a pristine tropical paradise. Paddle board, kayak, hammock nap, sunbathe, fish from the island, drink, eat and play beach games.
